The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

Just make sure you don't have an old 720p cam with artifacts all over the video. That's what I have so the face recognition is all jittery making it so I can't use blink functions because it detects blinks when I don't do it.
Still somewhat functional tho, so I'm not replacing it for now.

Hello /asp/, I see you guys have been hard at work with... whatever it is you have been doing.

I'm wondering, have any of you done some research on twitter analytics or have some experience to share? I think in terms of ideal tweets, it's probably something along the lines of media clips first (10-30 seconds, funny or cute... or both?!), then pictures (memes, etc.) and then just text with maybe polls. All of these categories are immensely boosted if you cave and follow silly trends, as people seemingly do not get sick of them no matter how often they see them on their timeline.

There's also the matter of tags, and i sometimes like to check some sketchy websites which give dubious info on tag-reach (https://www.trackmyhashtag.com/ in this case) and while i'm too stingy to pay for these services, i'm also not sure how much tag optimization helps with visibility. I doubt many people on twitter even use tags to discover new things and twitter is very strict with tag usage. My current package is:

I haven't seen a lot of difference, but they do slightly increase Impressions, especially for me who doesn't even have 100 followers and barely any interactions aside from a couple people who basically just like the stuff i post. The best way to get going is have popular twitter accounts retweet / interact with your stuff and snowball your followers from there on, but that might be easier said than done.

the only instance i know in terms of influencers hiring a manager is the trash taste guys basically partnering with a bigger brand to get film crews and editors and shit and also finding sponsors. basically if your brand outgrow your own capabilities and you need more behind the scene logistical help thats when you might want a manager. also they are now based in japan and japan is more business centric so im guessing they can pull strings easier with an official manager that can contact collab partners via the front of a legitimate business

Hey, that's not me. I'm actually still in the process of figuring out, what makes a stream entertaining to watch. I spent the last 2 weeks lurking and chatting around in streams and i usually are able to keep them open when i have stuff to do in the background, but i rarely do so i either sleep or play games myself. Hmm, i think if the "noise" level is too high, it can get hard to listen to for longer times for me. the rrat's voice is nice, but she plays music in the background and likes to go on rambles without breaks, which is all fine but personally i just have to click away after an hour, because i'll otherwise i might get irritated. Very personal thing though, i do not think her stream is bad at all, i actually like coming back to it, even if just for short bursts.


I'll get some rest now, we will assassinate a sorceress tomorrow, surely nothing will go wrong. I've noticed i don't really like my voice acting, it is still too monotonous, but i think voice acting for an entire stream and every character is sort of a tall order for a non-VA. I wonder if i should move voice acting to a channel point redeem? I personally thought, since most people are only gonna listen to the stream, my reading everything will allow them to know what's going on. And trying to voice act a little might be easier to listen to than just bland reading. Maybe i should listen to audiobooks and see what they do? Maybe that style would be better than trying to go all out with VA'ing. But maybe talking about unrelated stuff / leaving dead air is preferred by some, i usually move those to the parts of the game without dialogue. (i'm not gonna talk over boring random encounters)
