For kana? I'm still shaky on mine to the point of making mistakes, but if you put 15 mins a day into it, you should be able to recognise most of your hiragana in about two weeks.

Personally I don't think anyone disliked her more that she's a social recluse and never really was the initiator. What spoke out most to me was that watame, who's known for crying, kept her composure. Rushia and Marine always had amazing chemistry in collabs, especially in 3D. They chatted on discord as often as Kanata and Marine do, if not more. It could've been that Marine felt some responsibility to help Rushia through her many struggles with mental illness but I do think there was genuine affection there.

I'll give you an example. Most places have rules where the manager can write you up for being late, not doing your work on time, etc. Sounds reasonable, right? Except they can choose when to actually care about it.

At one job I worked the manager was always slack when people come in -- he was cool with people coming in 30 minutes late, an hour, as long as you were there and got your work done, didn't matter.
