Regardless the usefulness of a mobile app is questionable at best. Mobile phones battery saving features limit when the phone can be active whilst it is not in use (and without an external power source).

Okay, storytime.
A month and a half ago, I had to reinstall windows on my PC I didn't really have to, but I'm retarded, so.... Then I went on to install Chrome and all of the extentions I had prior to that.
Everything was fine until I decided to restart PC. After I did that, for some weird reason, I could no longer log in nasfaq from Chrome. I could've emailed honk, but I didn't I'm too shy for that...
I decided to just switch to Edge and that was the end of it... Until just a few days ago.
This time, it's even more weird, nasfaq was completely unreachable for me. After trying different options, the solution ended up being... Installing vpn (the browser extension)! To this day, sometimes it works without vpn, sometimes with, I have no idea, what the fuck does it mean.
But here's the fun part! Next morning, when I turned my PC on and tried to log in... I couldn't! And just like the last time, too! So I deleted the extension and it worked! And when I deleted the same extension from Chrome, I finally got to log in!
I haven't tried using other vpn extensions yet, but... Can someone explain, just what all of that means and how to fix that? Having to delete it, just to reinstall it again everyday isn't too bothersome, but still.

Also my money is on your adblocker and/or "Tracking Prevention", on by default in Edge, blocking Google's reCAPTCHA. If the reCAPTCHA can't load, you can't log in. The VPN fixing it might be a bizarre coincidence - you're ending up with an IP address that Google thinks doesn't need to re-verify with a new CAPTCHA...or you're in a 3rd world country that's using some kind of DNS filtering and should look into changing your DNS settings to quad 9 or quad 1.
Next time it happens, double check that your adblocker/privacy protection is disabled for nasfaq. "Tracking prevention" is under the SSL padlock in the address bar. I don't think uBlock Origin breaks reCAPTCHA by default, but I know Privacy Badger often does.

I had an idea recently, a way to change how dividends work a bit, potentially even apply to adjustments too, but I'm not too sure on how it would work for that without breaking stuff, anyways, the idea I had is adding a "number of streams/videos in a week" metric, as we all know how divs work and that they are very fucked, usually limiting everyone but the top earners.

This metric would buff consistent channels, and possibly debuff the ones that aren't as consistent too. For example, look at pic related, Koyori had 33 streams in the last 20 days, if we look at her latest dividend payout she gave $1125, granted it was a special week with Kobo and Iofi being outliers and stealing the pool due to their channels getting banned, but if you look at the dividend archive she lives between $800 and $1200 regularly.

With this change chuubas that are consistent and put in the effort would be rewarded, I'm sure >we all remember Risu's NNN being disappointing as far as making money goes, this could have changed that, same with Bae's Febaerary.

What I particularly like about this idea is that it stays true to the game's original idea of "to encourage you to seek out and watch Holos who you otherwise wouldn't pay as much attention to", it would make reps sort of matter again, "X is doing 10 streams this week!?!?" "No way, Ayame is going into hiatus!?" and would, by proxy, make you keep up with other holos and what they are doing.

I also hope that this will really mix up dividends and even the playing field, we all know Suzy and Mori are very OP, and that's fine, they deserve it for making shitty music that gives them passive views, but the fact that they can still have a payout of $2000+ per week with almost no streams is pretty bullshit, this change could potentially bring them down when they are not streaming, which also balances them on normal schedules, it often happens that they have fewer streams than their peers due having to record music, they would still get an extra boost on music releases, videos should count after all, and in those occasions, I feel like it's deserved, but nowadays with 0 streams going on? Definitely not.

And it would hopefully help with other situations partially, recently it was brought to my attention that Towa literally beat Miko in every single metric last week, yet she paid $600 less in dividends than her, upon looking closer at the two it was even more absurd, Miko only got 3 videos counted for that week while Towa streamed daily with her apex addiction (or even twice a day sometimes), in that case, Towa would have been rewarded for consistency and Miko punished for it.

And that's just big channels! Hopefully, it could also bypass the retarded pool big numbers get more distribution and boost small ones that stream frequently, like the IDs, for example, Ayamy also comes to mind, I think she streams pretty often.

So that's the gist of it, a new metric that tracks the number of streams/videos in a week that plays into how dividends are distributed, giving consistent coins a much-deserved buff, nerfing hiatus coins, and it could also fix the Suzy/Mori situation or at least make it better and maybe even bring back doing some sort of reps.

Suisei and Mori aren't stupidly broken because they get a lot of views or have very high dividends compared to other coins, but rather because their prices (usually) were kept low by a constant bugged adjustment cycles. Unless you fix that, no matter what dividends allocation mechanic you use, they will continue to be broken.

Similarly, hiatus coins are great because they don't adjust, which is the biggest buff in the game as it allows for the market to pump them without too much thought.

Additionally, the methods they are using do differentiate between chuubas in terms of raw numbers that go into the equation, but not in terms of what goes out. The formula is extremely same-y and doesn't make that much of a difference, and even if you replaced views with hours watched the results would still be roughly the same, just that some coins would get worse and others would get better.

Dividends should get uncapped and unhinged in terms of volatility. Make 0$ dividends possible if views are very low compared to weekly average (hiatus), and make them skyrocket if they are far exceeding the usual amount. This is what will boost smaller channels, especially if they don't have to compete for a single dividend pool with music channels.

And modifying dividends is literally the most important thing in this game, currently all your money comes from dividends, how much do Priestess and Cypher get paid? $1.5b? $2b? The short of it was that it was during the second time Kobo's channel got banned and then unbanned, and on my desktop I had it set to empty out Kobo, and as I was getting ready for bed I thought that was a bad idea so I checked on my phone to make sure I wasn't actually emptying out. You need to completely destroy the trends by upping volatility and uncapping the dividends, just throw a ton of uncertainty into the system and make the CURRENT week worth something rather than "oooh, this 40k coin will give 500$ more this week, how exciting".

It's because when the idea of changing divs gets brought up, of course, they'll think that they wont make any more money or will be losing hard, if they are just purely relying on popular yet doesn't stream holos. If you have read my previous posts, I did not mention Miko a single time because while she's a popular coin, she's someone who streams consistently, making her a really really good dividend coin.
I was more of thinking of using your dividends earned for this week to invest on holos that would stream consistently for this week, sell them next week if those coins will take a break, or hold them if they're still streaming consistently for the following week, not to move 50000 Suisei/Mori that are collecting dust in your wallet, but to invest for this week's dividends, like you said, those 50000 stacks would still give dividends, no reason to change that.

Though, I will stop discussing this further because I see how the players right now would hate the idea of changing dividends because the GRUG SEE MORI AND SUISEI GOOD DIVIDENDS GRUG BUY MORE GRUG HOLD FOREVER would be less effective and how the idea of giving other coins a chance instantly marks one as a "poorfag" for not metacoining and only buying said coins. Really, using poorfag as a counter argument really just highlights how spoiled the players are right now. I will just leave this discussion to the anon that started this idea about the dividends change.

I quite like it, I don't see any issues with this, it adds a new angle to dividends and performance, and it quite literally can only be a good change, from what I'm seeing in the rest of the thread this devolved into:

If it really is such a dumb change as the other posters say that it won't change anything, then there is no harm in trying, it's all going to stay the same anyway, isn't it? The same goes for the "the entire game needs to be restarted/revamped/change or nothing will matter" mentality, if you don't try anything at all change will never come, it may seem small or insignificant, but you have to start somewhere, changes take time, same goes for the "I can't change my wallet fast" enough argument.

At the end of the day it's all up to the devs, if they do try out this idea they can make it as strong or as weak as needed, it's no use speculating about how the payouts will change when we have no control over that, instead focus on the good things that this promotes, it ties very well into the spirit of the game trying to make you keep up with other holos that you might have not looked at before, while also rewarding chuubas that put in the effort, it just seems nice to me all around, and if you are the superhuman sheet anon, well you might be able to predict everything and be the #1 in the game and all you dream about, but you forget that not everyone uses sheets, most play it like grug and I know I would be happy with this change, I'd even say that sheet users are the minority in Nasfaq.

May add more things later, these are my initial thoughts.

I agree that there has to be some change, but there are just hundreds of more viable ways of making it. Think about what this change, which I believe wouldn't change much in the end, would demand of the dev team. They'd need to rework their scraper to somehow count hours of streams and CCV since those aren't things present in Youtube's API, so it'll be jury-rigged.

They could just spice the game up by doing rebalancing changes once in a while to basically do the same thing but with much less effort. Say, double the dividends pool and make weekly sub gain 5x more valuable than it is right now for dividends, people will need to re-adjust and it'll keep them on their toes. Not every channel gets a subtick every week either, so it'll make week to week divvies more chaotic.

I agree with the sentiment of SOMETHING having to change, it's just that this is more or less the biggest time waster I've seen suggested here lately.
