The reason people want a studio in NA is because it allows the talent not in Japan to do their own work without having to rely on either on going to Cover HQ or setting up workspace at home for it. It also allows the company to have multiple projects being developed at the same time and getting them done at faster rate and without schedule constrains. The side benefit of also having staff that you can communicate with that is also able to produce content for an audience that they can understand should not be understated.

I can only give my piece about HoloJP but:
Gen 0 > Gen 3 >= Gen 1 = Gen 2 > Gen 4 = Gen 5 > Gamers
Reason being Gen 0 on the top is because that's just simply how the gen is shaped, bunch of individuals doing their own thing and getting accomplishments on their own. Combine them and achievement wise they should be the highest.
Gen 3 next on the block, literally carried by Marine alone for connection with people outside the box and sponsorships, Pekora seldomly get a bit of sponsorship also.
Gen 1 and Gen 2 are pretty much similar, Fubuki solo carrying Gen 1 and Aqua solo carrying Gen 2.
I would've put Gen 4 equal to Gamers if not for Watame Sololive and Luna getting collab with Yamaha.
Gen 5 has Lamy with her sake, and Botan with whatever shitty game shill she's getting regularly anyway.
Gamers, I just don't know what they're supposed to be since it's not like they're even consistently good at all games, nor have they been playing any competitive games anyway (Splatoon probably counts...?).

I actually agree with you entirely but I do have a comment on one of your points, an achievement doesn't necessarily mean sponsors only and saying Gen 1 is only carried by fubuki and Gen 2 by aqua is undermining some of the members.
To me personally, while sponsors are a sizable achievement I think leaving your print on the chuuba community is an achievement of its own, and I think people like Subaru, haachama and Matsuri have left their marks and think that's worth mentioning but over all, I absolutely agree with you

That's actually the most impressive bit to me. Chartanon, correct me if I'm wrong, but I distinctly remember swathes of days last year and early this year when Kuzuha was doing his idol reps and Chinman was recharging his rarity buff when Nijisanji would only have legit 1 or 2 streams in the tally. Hell, I think there were a couple of days just a few weeks ago when Luxiem were the only Nijis who were in the tally.
Contrast that to Hololive. You basically have 5 of their top 6 out for the day (Shuba, Peko, Marine, Aqua, and Suisei) with most of them taking extended breaks.
