Yeah, but he's been talking for at least over a year about doing a collab stream within Holostars for FF14 since maybe he's not comfortable doing anything with his static which is a shame because the streams with his static on his friends channel were really fun to watch.

I don't know if that's something he's still planning, but he also hasn't done any streams for 6.1 at all despite the new PvP mode being good content or even the new normal, alliance, or savage raids would also be good content. Maybe not savage because probably getting permissions to stream that is difficult since you have to take into account the 7 other people in your party. But I was surprised to see he didn't do anything for the new alliance raid even though that has been pretty good content and wouldn't take a lot of commitment from him to do.

I honestly think it's a matter of them finding a niche for themselves, Astel is popular in the Apex niche above all else. Roberu is popular in the niche of Collabs and chatting (and basically being a walking taunting target)

The rest of the stars... Doesn't really have a specific niche. Izuru has been declining even in his Karaoke streams, while Oga has been improving now that he's back with his retro gaming streams. Rikka is a case where he has a music niche that isn't so good in Karaoke streams, but when it comes to his songs and covers, it's easy to see that the niche favors him and he always reaches 100k or more pretty quickly. Overall, the rest of the stars still pull in relatively acceptable numbers without having a specific niche, but no doubt having their own niche would help them even more

It's just Astel's live got boosted by his presence as "pushing the boundaries of 3D", genuinely good at dancing and singing, Holos hyping him, and EOPs and ESLs coming back (particularly from IDs). That last point was apparent when /stars/ rose in activity compared to the other lives i.e. Shien, Miyabi, Rikka (probably in /hlgg/ too but I don't frequent that shithole). Of course that's not a bad thing at all as exposure is exposure.
Having said that, wait for Astel's usual stream and we might see if they stick. Astel always has that problem, though even if they don't he's still fine (as long as he doesn't spend all that money on useless things and complain when he needs it).

I don't dabble much in the hololive side of things but aside from like, A-chan, J-chad and Mel's former manager you definitely don't hear talk about the management side from them. I think it's nice how openly appreciative the stars are of their managers. Just recently there was that video tweet Rio made that was credited to mochamane right in the caption. I think the camera angles they chose for live Pentas were very poor compared to the other songs -- from what I recall there are too many angles focusing on one or two members so you don't get to see and appreciate the simultaneous group choreography, and that sometimes the camera focuses too much on a member who's 'resting' and makes it looks like that member isn't doing much (Majin was the main victim of this). Your mileage may vary on the way they sang it live, which was purposefully lower in tone to evoke a sultrier, sexier vibe. It took a Twitter post examining the last part of the choreography and rebuilding it piecemeal from the angles just for me to understand what was going on during the last part of the song.

In my honest opinion, the camera work was the main issue in the song, yes. The choreography in my opinion was good, it had a lot going on compared to other songs with very simple choreo like MWO and JtFS. Pentas is a group song with choreography where the members are doing different things at different points in the song, so having so many camera angles where you can't see what the other members are doing but can only assume IF you can recognize how the choreography works is bad.
