If you look at the timeline of 2020 and who the biggest vtubers were, it starts out as Zen until Melody comes along and blows the doors off, then other people start getting big. HL-EN hadn't hit yet, but EN vtubing was starting to get noticed. Like I said, I think she looked into HL but didn't like the stipulations because Nyanners was who she was for a long time, and she didn't want to be anybody else. Cover would not have allowed that. Is that total earnings since her start? I don't think they mean "overall", but probably more of a per year, per month, or per stream rate. I mean, Aqua debuted in 2018, so she's got a couple of years head start on "overall" earnings.

We know Zentreya has over 4000 subs on Twitch, which earns her (assuming only the 50:50 split, but as a partner Zen could be getting more of that cut) about 10k a month or 120k over a year, and that's just Twitch subs, not counting bit donations, direct donations, YT revenues from her channel, or anything else she might have like Patreon. Otherwise, our only option is to track via the streamers themselves if they have a "sub goal" or something widget on their screen so we can see it (that's how we know Zen's numbers, who last I saw had over 4400). Veibae has said she has something like 5000 subs and Silvervale mentioned that at 5000 subs the streamer gets another emote tier or something unlocked so they can create more emotes for their chat (and the implication is she didn't have 5k subs). So, yeah, hard to track sub numbers. I have to imagine that Nyan has a lot of subs, tho. It is almost impossible to have the viewership she does without having at least 5k subs. I wouldn't be shocked if it was closer to 8k.

Well, she has had a stated purpose since the beginning of her career, which is to market not her merchandise a la Miko the character, but the TECH behind it. Almost all of that she does is programmed and done by the person herself ("the producer"). The passionate hate for Nyanners is easy explain. She's a combination of genuine talent coupled with a series of major personality flaws. If she was boring and mundane nobody would have had any strong feelings about her betrayal to begin with. After she joined tumblr and went down the full SJW route and started calling people 'shitlords' and 'pissbabies' I never wanted to hear from her again, I was a bit surprised to see her name become relevant again but here we are. That's her actual voice though. When she's actually trying to do an ecchi cute voice it's even higher pitched. Every single video she's made for over a decade uses the same voice. When she tries to go lower pitched (like in the Kyun Vampire cover) it strains her voice and she can't do it for long. Faulting her for using her own voice is kinda silly.
