Imagine the sad sack who lives in his moms basement that donates to Kiara. Double yikes! I'd feel second hand embarrassment myself.

I remember that underaged retards were laughed at whenever they said "once I grow up, I want to be a YouTuber as my job". Streaming should be nothing more than a hobby, not where you go to pay the bills

I mean, yes, but that's also true about acting, music, shit like that. As long as there is a society to support it, there will be people trying to become full-time celebrities.

Acting and music (usually) require professional training and getting lessons for it, streaming is about having a personality and equipment. Kids wanting to become "professional" streamers are laughed at because unlike amateur actors/musicians, don't do shit for art as much as it is sitting in front of the PC with internet randoms watching (You)
Now, I'm not trying to demean streamers and I think there can absolutely be passion in what they do, but having the mindset that streaming is a job makes you look retarded

>> No.27657593

>>27657472
If streaming stays around for long enough you'll get those shitty schools and training facilities too. Some of them are already popping up.
All you're saying is that streaming is new while the other stuff is old.

It's worthless, you just don't get the rakes from streaming. You can learn how to use a cam and speak to an audience, but streaming is ultimately sitting in front of the PC inside your room for internet randoms
>>27657768
I might moving the goalposts I guess, but there's a difference between streaming under a corpo and streaming as independent

Studying in acting and music not only creates artistic assets and sometimes rights for the works you created/participated in, but you develop multiple skills that can at least keep you stable for the rest of your life even if you don't make it big. Being a streamer, you're pretty much at the mercy of youtube or twitch's bullshit. If the fact that the top youtubers are being demonetized for barely anything and famous twitch streamers are getting permanant bans from their platforms should gave you large signs that streaming is a very unstable way to make money.

What kind of parents wouldn't be disappointed by their kid choosing to become a fucking vtuber? No long term prospects. No stability. Doesn't contribute to society whatsoever. And of course all the retarded yes-men in the replies are kissing her ass and talking shit about the parents. Lol. Lmao.

To be fair, I searched this girl up and apparently she gets around 400 CCV so she’s more a 3 view than anything else. I’m pretty sure you can survive full-time off of that fairly decently.

>> No.27670739

>>27670651
Agreed - unless you’re in Hololive or Vhoejo, I don’t think it’d ever be worth it to Vtube full-time. Sure you can make ends meet for the time being, but what about future savings? Qualifications? I don’t think 99.5% of Vtubers will be able to make a pension fund out of it.

If she streams and also has a part time job or something I'd respect it. So does she have a part time side gig?
