Realtalk, bro. The Niji designs have always been generic in the sense that they're all good and all fujobait. There's no character, soul or archetype diversity. In other words, they're all interchangeable, and that makes them cheap. Likewise, the lack of barriers between genders makes it a cuckold simulator fit only for fujos and faggots. That's why Vox is the only nijiguy whose name I even remember, because he's just sort of symbolic of all male nijisanji vtubers the same way Kuzuha is in Japan. No, wait, I also remember Ex Albio and Touya, so from a male perspective Niji EN is even less memorable than a branch I never got into and can't understand, solely because they all seem to pander to the exact same segment of the market.

In contrast, you can at least tell the homostars apart from each other, and their hilarious designs are individually recognizable (for better or worse). These designs are not the same as previous ones, the guys in this wave are a shota and trap, and demon who looks pretty normal stylistically. So you're going to have a different audience than Luxiem. Also there's the diminishing returns problem. Since Noctyx was modeled after Luxiem, they were never going to be as successful, as Luxiem fans simply do not want to leave their oshi. In vtubing you want to be the first in whatever style of design you want to go for to avoid being thought of as a discount.
