That's pretty impressive. Are there any perks beyond 70m?
On a semi-related note, how much do festivals/concerts usually make (holoFES, the niji equivalent, vtuberfes, vcarnival)?

70m is the last milestone. It's currently at 68,678,500 with 4 days left. As for how much general VTuber concerts make, I don't think I've seen public numbers for those.

>> No.3025096 [DELETED]

Business Insider reported that around 50k people watched Beyond the Stage. It's not clear whether that was the peak or the total and whether it counts only those who bought tickets to both days; however, even if we use the most conservative estimates possible, it still made at least 2.5 million on ticket sales alone. The fact that Cover recommitted to putting on performances by holding Bloom shortly afterwards shows that their events are quite successful.

I may or may not give up on archiving the streams of the Riot Music girls. I'll opt to archive their covers instead.

>> No.3029651

Strange question but my indie oshi is basically a vsinger and I want to help promote her content but I'm really not sure how.
I archived a lot of karaoke content that was deleted due to DMCA issues. Is there a good place to promote such a thing? Would adding subtitles and effects help or is it just wasted effort?

>> No.3029720

>>3029651
Youtube clip channels are the way to do it. You don't care if your video gets claimed because you're not trying to make money from it, whereas they do. You probably don't need to bother with subtitles unless they're an original song. Look at someone like Hololive sings. You just need a good thumbnail, a clean recording, and to do your SEO reps so that people can actually find it.

>> No.3029825 [DELETED]

>>3029720
So a separate channel devoted to it is the way to go?

Thanks for the response.

>> No.3030007

>>3029825
Just make sure you link to the channel at the end of the video so that people know where to find you.

If you're the one picking the set list, you should also be making sure to do some popular songs that you upload as separate videos so people might find them when they search for said song. However, if you're the one who's doing the main channel, you can look at someone like Hachi as how to archive singing streams on your channel so people don't have to go as far to find you. Youtube will claim a video for DMCA, but they won't delete it, so you just accept that doing karaoke is for the views instead of the add revenue on the archives.

I wonder if the girls would choose to do that, it's almost certain it's a company thing.

Kmnz is pretty fun, skill level is fairly low though but I dig them. Especially some of their original songs.
Lizz is fun on her streams too.

Riot girls were okay, I'm jealous of the licensing they have. But their singers are all pretty bad considering the powerhouse company behind them. If they were amateurs it'd be one thing, but as semipros essentially its a huge bummer to have their covers be such let downs.

Nobody talks about her I feel like, but kotone is probably my favorite vtuber/vsinger around. Love her voice and her covers/ogs are fucking amazing.

>> No.3053276

>>3052866
I thought I recognized that name. She came up for me on Spotify on a vtuber playlist, she's pretty good. Underworld Utautai was a banger, but I feel like her voice is very run of the mill, good Japanese singer which is why she kind of blends into the crowd compared to some of the other girls who have a more distinct voice. Still certainly worth listening to, though.

>> No.3053582

>>3053276
Personally I find her voice unique, can pick out that Kansai accent easily, and she has a different tone that rings out to me.
Well to each their own, I still consider her an extremely underrated powerhouse though.

>> No.3053866

>>3053582
I might still just be mind melted by listening to all the higher pitched singers during Don't Stop the Music so they all start to blur together to me, but she's at least able to navigate around in that high pitched space far more then the girls who were forcing themselves up there instead of it being natural.

Reminds me a bit of Harano Oni with how she's able to bring a bit of husk into her voice.

Kotone's an oldie and a close friend of Sora iirc. As for Riot, I'm also disappointed I guess. I don't like nu-Cocoa's singing compared to old-Cocoa and Yuka's design is really cute but I don't really like her stuff that much either.

That's not a cover, Breakin' Down is her original song. It's just a remix/modern remaster. Edo is pretty great, though I wish she'd sing like she does on her covers in her originals instead of going crazy with the vocal effects sometimes. She's friends with Mimi, Mari, and a bunch of others. Got a new model coming out in the very near future as well.

No worries! Always happy to talk about someone who's a good singer, and she's pretty cute both model and behaviorwise, as shown by how she puts on a second set of headphones before she does a solid rendition of Gurenge. I'm looking forward to the day she does something with Hachi, since I think her powerful voice would complement the bee quite well.

During the most recent Don't Stop the Music, she had a Live. During it, Japan was stuck with a small earthquake. She was between songs, so she quickly cut to a waiting screen, made sure everything was all right, then came back with a nice little adlibbed message about making sure everyone was safe and such. Wasn't that interesting in and of itself, but it did show that she was actually doing the concert in real time.

I mean, they're pretty giant for a true indie group who started last year. You've probably got an inflated sense of numbers from Hololive, but almost 50k subs and 1k watching a live stream is a pretty massive success. They're great and I love their stuff, so I hope they continue to grow, but they're doing quite well.

It's clearly a stylistic choice, especially to fit of her club styled songs, but you have things where you can sort of hear her voice jumping from one pitch to another since she's taking an inspiration from a vocaloid and being very aggressive with the pitch correction, or she just layers on a whole bunch of effects. However, even in her most 'singing' styled original of Princesta, you can hear the computer effects at the timestamp when she goes for a high note and she's honestly a good enough singer that she doesn't need it if you compare it to her less overproduced covers or even her verse in the in crossing that someone else did the production for. Those soft tones and hint of vibrato get stomped out kinda hard in her originals. I think she just likes the style given her crazy aesthetic, and if she's got a fanbase who enjoys it, good for her.

To be entirely fair, she sometimes tries to go higher then she can handle when she's singing for fun, and that compounds the mic issues. It also doesn't help that she starts dying of laughter right after doing so, but she's adorable when doing so so all is forgiven.

I was actually thinking the opposite. While their singing is on a different level, their mannerisms on stage seemed pretty reserved from Kaf's cute grandma tier dancing with the Valis girls to the group convo near the end.
Now if I could actually understand japanese...

>> No.3130460

I guess I'm just used to vocalists not moving when they're actually trying to sing at full power, but you're right that her dancing also could be from her being reserved on stage. I understand that otaku goods are priced as such, but I will never understand Japan's insistence on such hilariously priced online tickets. That's the approaching the same price for a digital restream that you would pay for an slot at a concert of a fairly popular band where there is an actual limit on the number of tickets they can sell due to physical space.

Wasn't expecting him to be that good of a singer, though if you had told me that was a female vocalist, I also would have believed you.

Could it be better, though? I guess they're worried about people not wanting to go to the physical concert for a vtuber if they price it low enough, but piracy of the streams is pretty rife even amongst fans, because the price is so high. Given that there is more or less no real cost to stream to more people, they're leaving a lot of money on the table and that volume of sales might make up for the lower per unit profit.

Kanade Mimi singing vtuber originals in 20 minutes. She did a wide variety of them during her anniversary live, and the last time she did a stream like this, she even sang a Hololive song from Suisei.

I doubt I can post the link here since it is not a vtuber channel, but just a reminder that Kaguya Luna old channel still releases every once in a while, like today, a new cover song

Also, VTV is a channel that highlights vsingers. Usually by doing interviews, and showing their songs on stream. Today, they are starting off by it being a stream of just songs.

She puts her music and a few stream highlights on Youtube and Spotify, but streams on Twitch, which follows the meta most Western content creators use. She's not bad if you're okay with modern rap.

Sharing this video that I stumbled across. Think it might be one of my favourites from Kaida that I've heard so far. His voice really goes well with the song, and the guy on the piano is great!

Just gonna shill Isa here. She's a VSinger that primarily focuses on doing covers of western music and makes some original music. One of her originals was featured on AZKi's music stream back in March.

This MV is so fucking cool. If they added some slow moving 3D instead of their still images, it would've been pretty cinematic. I really feel like I've seen this style with the geometric shapes somewhere before too.

I was surprised it was pure 2D from them, since Mimi's covers have had some pretty great choreography, since she's a dancer as well as a singer.

It's software that was developed to allow people to play music together without being in the same area. However, because >Japan, it's only got servers inside Japan and so is pretty much unusable anywhere else because they didn't build a quality netcode and haven't rolled it out globally regardless, I don't believe. It does work great for what it is, though, since it's how Aki Rose was able to do her acoustic concerts with her guitar slave during Covid.

How many years have fighting games had garbage netcode because Japanese devs literally don't even think about having more then like 20ms ping? I would have thought Yamaha would be better since they actually are a global company, but that is a foolish expectation it seems.
