JP games rely heavily on the "first time experience". They're formatted and built around that. It's awful game design and is paced more like reading a story instead of being a part of the game (hence why so many have alternative paths). So when a streamer streams the game, they're "taking away" from the experience. VN's are the obvious examples, as well as this game being talked about, but some other fun patterns include DarkSouls, the recent Pokemon games, or even Metal Gear. That's not to say these games aren't fun, but the feel of the game is ruined the more you know about it beforehand.
On the other hand, Western games have a similar problem but typically they have a focus on multiplayer so the core of the game is built around that and/or having knowledge doesn't ruin the feel of the game such as TES, Halo, Rust, Minecraft, etc.
