Any Vtuber musical talent is a generic well-rehearsed "Japan got talent" level - some not even that.

If they were any good they'd have manage to land at least an alternative music career without needing the avatar - which most of them never did after years of being utaite on NicoNico or other venues.

Especially if they debuted post vTuber boom in a big agency - be it Holo, Niji or 774 - there's a reason if you look into their histories it's one of broken dreams and failure.

Remove their live 2d avatar, cheap reverb and auto-tune settings and utterly generic vocaloid mixes and they'd be in-line anyone you'd find in any japanese Friday-night Karaoke competition. In fact, some people in those competitions are better, because they can actually put a performance after being absolutely shitfaced by their co-workers never ending serving of drinks.

The exception that proves the rule was Chigusa who actually landed a musical career - which is why she had surch a short-lived vtuber career.
