From what I've seen, in Hololive the squeaky wheel gets the oil. I think the other girls probably asked for accessories and were clearer with their requirements for the model, while Gura was offerred this rigger's work to start with and was always too cute to ask for more. Same reason the other girls have gotten more singles and collabs with HoloJPs. I wish her genmates would help Gura try to ask for more stuff.

Also, just as a clarifying disclaimer, I don't want to come off too harsh on Gura herself. Having a "passive" personality is not meant to be an insult or a bad thing. In fact it can be a rather good thing, especially in other aspects, like interpersonal relationships, because it makes you easy to get along with, and everybody likes Gura. It's just that in this particular case (demanding a better rigging for yourself) it's a hindrance to improvement. I would like that, but I would also prefer if Kiara had a solo collab with Moona first. Just so that they can establish some personal rapport first and have their interaction roles be defined by more than just only "oh you like Pekora? This is also my suspicion why a large part of the Kiara hate seems to come from SEAnigs specifically. PekoMoona was the thing that lifted the ID branch out of irrelevancy and gave them more recognition globally. So they're protective of it, like any third worlder that got it's first taste of breadcrumbs. They thought Kiara would "take that away" from them (e.g. Pekora from Moona) and the ID's would be left alone to become irrelevant again. So she became public enemy target number one. The fact that none of this happened (Kiara, or any EN for that matter, never became a regular on the JP(+ID) Minecraft server, didn't take any attention away, and ID is even more tightly integrated there with Gen2) hasn't deterred them because that whole thing has developed its own automomentum by now (i.e. they probably don't even know WHY they are angry at her in the first place, just that they're angry), and here we are....

So what are some regrets you have about KFP?
I remember clearly that Kiara had doubts about her chicken voice a few times months ago. I think KFP could've pressed her at that time into using a more normal voice but nothing came out of it.
The reason why she used the chicken voice in the first place is because she wanted to be a cute character and thought that includes a "cute" (AKA chicken) voice, but that failed misserably and ended up filtering people.
Now that she has dropped the seiso and acts like a degenerate there's no reason to keep up the "cute" voice, but it has become a part of her character for soon to be a year by now. A shame.

Just that fact alone means that if she had to compare herself to anyone, it makes sense its her EN peers. They all debuted around the
same time, had the same pool of people available to watch them during debut and in Kiara's case she had plenty of exposure with her songs, collabs, and viral material (trending when her channel was deleted for example) yet she's still trailing behind her friends not just on subs but also on views in her music videos, karaoke clips. Even if each girl has a different fanbase that still doesn't answers why and what can she do to appeal to more people.

Kiara's biggest problem is that she doesn't have an appeal that can easily be spoonfed to someone.

Mori: massive gap with her autistic personality and her raps
Ina: godlike art skills
Gura: memelord both obviously and subtle
Ame: gremlin voice and gimmicks

What makes Kiara special is how comfortable she can make people feel - despite her chicken voice.
The KFP fucking loves every time she goes on a tangent because it's so enjoyable to listen to her just talk about shit.
And all her collab partners keep praising her after a stream. Pekora even bragged to her fucking real mother about knowing Kiara, in front of 100k viewers.
Meanwhile Aki just couldn't stop talking about Kiara after HoloTalk - she trippled her usual SC reading time just to go on and on how amazing it was.

And in full HoloEN collabs Kiara is always willing to make herself the butt of a joke like with that key story in the latest one.
Everyone made a funny comment about it or at least laughed wholeheartedly and then they were all a lot more relaxed.

Despite of how over-the-top and forthcoming her character is Kiara's strenghts are actually not that easy to see.
Which is why she is seen as the "bottom left chicken" for people who don't watch her. And why the people that do watch her are so insanely loyal.

It's pretty obvious that being a vTuber is mostly a cute little hobby for Ina. She has her art gig and that will always be her main focus and main source of income.
Which isn't bad, it gives her a really different feel from the many people who do it as a career. This uniqueness is why the Takodachis are the second most loyal fans after the KFP.
But it explains why she doesn't put in a ton of work, just doing whatever she feels like. And that's alright.

Gura got where she is without putting in all that much work (as Gura at least).
She already has the most rabid following and is unable to control her fans - I can see her being afraid of putting in too much work and making things even worse.

Everything you described about Ina is what Kiara wanted to be initially interestingly enough.
She had another job that was going to be her main thing while vtubing was just a side job and just wanted to meet cover's minimum requirements to be in the company.
Since she always wanted to be seen as an artist, maybe she would've focused more on her songs since she had some unfinished projects hanging around at the time too, who knows. I just thought that's interesting and how much it would've changed KFP

I think the answer is much simpler than that:
Normalfags mainly decide on who to watch based on clips. Because Kiara doesn't produce the contents clipniggers want (unpopular games, her funny moments are more than just the current popular meme, long VoDs mean it's a hassle to go thorugh each of them to hunt for clips), they don't bother with clipping her.
The answer is either selling out and forcing flavor of the month content like the others, or keeping up what she's doing and hoping she can make a clip that can go viral. Remember, Pekora was the runt of her gen for a long while.

Mori is the best at holding her character but one time she was so sad on stream it got through her character and the Deadbeats noticed how upset she was.
Kiara called her and made things better.

Recently Kiara is talking about Gura in very vague terms while the Chumbuds are having one episode after another.
Seems like she is consoling her at least a bit (although Ame probably helps as well with how happy Gura is about their upcoming collab).
