I think it makes sense actually to start with the small fry as their target so as to not be overly-ambitous assuming everything will go like it did for HoloEN. EN came riding on a gigantic wind of interest from the West that had been going for well over a year, while Niji is still mostly unknown. Plus I would not feel bad for vsh*jo getting mogged one bit; I wouldn't even play the world's tiniest violin for them.

In general however EN/Holo overall's rise essentially gives a trickle-down effect to other vtubers as a whole I think, and random people going "Holo's main rival in Japan made an English branch? I should probably should check it out" is going to be I bet literally 80-90% of the source of NijiEN interest. Will they maintain it though, is the question. With their Chinese gacha tier designs and cringe tweets I definitely don't see them as having learned anything from how ENs evolved; we assume "well EN un-cringed a lot after debut so these will too" but this isn't Holo one fucking bit and they are much more freeform in what the talents can do. Whether it got flagged by users or the AI, it was definitely restricted due to the gore and not the uwu swearing. Otherwise a million other streams with far more excessive swearing would be getting reported and age restricted.

No evidence of this. She just swore in the past two streams off the top of my head - saying 'fuck', 'shit', and 'asshole'.
