That was my very POINT. The JP branch brought a lot of EOPs/ESLs into the hobby, who were interested in the JP chuubas.
Thanks to their hype, the EN branch got a lot of new audiences.
But the decisions of the JP branch, that led to it becoming the powerhouse that it is today, had absolutely nothing to do with whatever the EN branch did.
Cover had expected maybe 100k subs and 1k CCV, and their long term plans were set in motion with the mindset of needing to tow the EN branch along like the IDs.
