Dokomi is usually just a normal weeb convention in Düsseldorf since they have a large Japanese community, but due to the coof they can only do online events
Since VTuber stuff is practically brand new in the mainstream they just hopped on the bandwagon, who knows how it's gonna be in the future. Depends on how well they will do I guess
