Towa was gradually making her voice higher for the first few months after her debut. It was all the negative comments about how people hated her voice that made her do it. She says herself she wasn't comfortable with her debut voice, said she had a complex about it. I remember her going higher with her voice in summer 2020 but pulling it back to what it is now. Every now and then I ego search her name and sure, people still make fun of her voice but the vast reaction from Japanese fans is that she sounds so much cuter now. I will never understand them.

It's a bit deeper than her normal voice since she just woke up and was feeling groggy but yeah it's much closer to her normal voice than her current high pitched voice.

It's not her fault but her voice doesn't match her design at all it's jarring as hell. If her model was a little more mature looking I'm sure a lot more japs would be fine with her normal voice.
