ITT we discuss how we anons could build a real life Roboco humanoid robot, and matching AI to suit her streaming persona.

Last thread, one anon said he could supply the glasses, but there's still much more to do.

Too early for this. Maybe in 1 or 2 centuries.

I bet 30-50 years at most. AI is the biggest roadblock, followed by movement and both problems are being researched.

is synthetic-based polymer better than titanium metallic alloy for her body and artificial skin?

I am a poor wagecuck, but I would pay any price in the world, up to and including the majority of my marrow, a kidney, plasma/blood, sperm, and a re-growable portion of my liver to get a footjob from Roboco. I'm not into feet, but Roboco's feet...

My initial thoughts were some kind of polymer/rubber for the skin, and either carbon fibre plating, or something similar for the black parts.
However, judging by the way her arms are structured, hard carbon plating won't match her normal movements, for the arms at least.

While I appreciate your enthusiasm, the legs and feet are probably the last two parts to be built, since bipedal locomotion is such a complicated problem to solve, compared to an upper-body only android.

Bros, please. I really want this to happen. Surely someone here has some knowledge of robotics?

Making humanoid sized robots move is extremely complicated but making just a moving face attached to a doll-like body is somewhat easy
If someone is rich and autistic enough they could totally do it

This is a very good point. My initial plan was start from the head, work my way down. The head is, while still complex, the simplest part. Arms are the next worst, with legs being nigh-impossible.
At the moment, I'm still thinking up rough ideas for what's needed. Does Roboco have human-like body warmth? What materials should the skin be made from? Should the eyes be flat displays, or a more complex mechanical structure? How can the hair be made to not feel like some dollar store nylon wig? Given the complexity of AI, will the android utilise remote processing, or can the majority of software be optimised to run on-board?
Just some of the many questions I need to research and consider before I even begin sketching up the skull + neck structure.

Make it like a giant japanese/Taiwanese doll, or else you will fall into uncanny valley and it will look like shit and not anime enough
Eyes should be glass beads like japanese dolls
having soft skin on top would make having a animated mouth3x times harder too I think but its a necessity because RBC doesnt have a puppet mouth but thats the hardest part overall

I imagine with the kind of processing required you could use the heat generated to create a stable body temperature. Use antifreeze or something as "blood" to pull it out to the skin to radiate away.

Buy a sex doll in 20 years and put the future version of ai dungeon in it.

Have ai watch every roboco stream to learn the language and get the voice.

Make a matsuri one and watch them bang

This is a good idea, but if it's burning that much electricity, it's impossible to power unless it's tethered to a mains socket.

Unless you somehow have a Tony Stark tier energy core, making gundam with mini nuclear reactor is more possible.
A robocop with her brain inside it and heavy armor still require many year for top robotic scientist

Looking at the progress that boston dynamics has made with atlas, I would say we are still somewhere around 30 years away from where we could get something that LOOKS like Roboco.

In order to get something that acts like her as well is currently not possible. AI as we stand now is just a very complex conditional check tree. We are an entire breakthrough, even possibly two away in that space before we can get something that is close enough to be functional and not feel like, well, a robot.
