This is incredibly fucked up, but I don't like her accent in english. She is unironically the best entertainer, goofs-wise and bits-wise, she has great songs, and she seems to really enjoy what she does.

Kiara is a tragic character, she's puts in the most effort, always gives 100% since debut and she has this deep genuine love for idol shit. With that and her tragic backstory you get the feeling she's actually the one who deserves to be in the spotlight the most, but that would be too easy. Hard work translating into success isn't a compelling story. What IS a compelling story however is Kiara as the underdog, most hated, least successful but trying the hardest. You root for her despite all odds, so every time something actually does go well for her, it feels way more impactful.
You could argue the same for Gura, least effort but by faaar the most successful partly due to factors outside of anyone's power, liek her unique and pleasant voice. You end up with compelling character arcs about imposter-syndrome, depression, people wanting to find some sort of skeleton in the perfect anime girl's closet etc.
It's what makes Hololive so interesting and what has them occupy the brain of 90% of this board at all times.

I am new to /vt/ and I am really fascinated by this place. Within one week, I realized the catalog threads are just shitposts and people arguing for the sake of arguing. I kind of understand the reasons why the catalog shits on Mori, Gura and Kronii and those threads only have 2 digit no. of posters/replies.

Kiara's is however different. I always see a catalog bait thread on her regularly but the past 2 days, this bait thread and this one 41794198 really confused me.
The one word to describe these threads is "Passion". Both the people that hate her and the ones defending her seem to be so passionate and does not sound like shitposting at all. I know I will get ridiculed for saying this but I actually discovered /vt/ from reading the comments section in a few of Khyo's videos. I discovered 'vtubers' from Noctyx and mostly watch NijiEN but I am hesitant to reveal my oshi because I don't want him to be shitposted on.
I never watched hololive streams except for a few 3d lives that popped up in my algo and my knowledge about them are mostly from these vtuber news channels. I saw Kiara in Pomu's 3d today and I liked their interaction.

I'll only address the Sparks push. All the talents know that unless it's funded through a project like Mori with UMG, any of the Umisea stuff, Irys/AZKi, etc., the talents have to fund the project almost entirely out of project. Kiara made Sparks to release post-birthday zatsu as both a gift to her fans and to herself. Suddenly, without warning Cover announces some shit on their twitter the day of Kiara's birthday, the biggest money-earning and attention getting day for every single Holo. It's an extremely important day to get morw eyes on you because more fans is more money and this is a job at the end of the day.
Move forward a little and Kiara finishes her borthday-zatsu telling people to go listen to the new single release in a few hours. Up pops up the 8 hour countdown on the official channel, taking a decent chunk of attention away from the Holo fanbase that are non-Kiara fans. The song gets released, and the Myth collab happens a little later, right after the 8 hour countdown shows off that Irys is coming.
Go watch that Myth collab. Each and everyone one of the girls feel like shit for Kiara because of how Cover rolled out their announcement and they constantly meme STREAM SPARKS with her because they know it would suck to have the same happen to them. Myth as an etirety force the meme together through their streams for the following week or two to try and bolster up her numbers. You'll probably call it pity or say that Kiara force them to or something retarded, but they empathized with her and helped push the song because of that.
Later on her 12 hour SC post birthday reading, she even talked about how multiple girls came and talked with her before the collab, and Ame especially was lamenring management together with her, i.e. the birth of the AmeTori push for a while back then (whch lead to culminating in Dreaming Chuchu and the low-poly idea).
