Someone called it "German bluntness" and I think that's fair (even though she's quick to point out that she's not German). Kiara is very direct and doesn't sugarcoat anything, she always blurts out exactly what she's thinking, and that can come off as rude to some of the more emotionally vulnerable people in the Hololive fandom (and apparently there are a lot). Fans of Kiara (like me) find it refreshing compared to the cloying sweetness of the other girls. But it's definitely not for everyone, and it can be seen as kind of rude and confrontational at times. Kiara is brash, impulsive, unfiltered, and doesn't seem to care whether what she's saying is polite or not. If you superchat her a poem, she will tell you it's shit if she thinks it's shit. She WILL play your favourite video game and she WON'T cry at the end, and you'll just have to accept it. And if you love Kiara, you'll still find it funny anyways.

Those are the reasons I think she's polarizing, and they're just even more reasons I love her.

German here aswell and for me Kiara is the only entertaining Holo. After the marine talk she is her genuine self on stream. There is only one fake thing about her and that is her voice. She is open with her fans and you can tell, when she has genuine fun in her stream and when something bothers her because she will show it or even talk about it. Also she is pretty funny and has a lot of interesting things to talk about.

I think people would do well to stop reading too much into everything someone says and I dont mean it just in the context of Kiara but in general. Just listen to exactly what is being said and no further. Stop thinking that someone might have some malious intent in the back of their minds. You just end up crafting an image of a person in your head that differs greatly from the real person, which will burden all interactions you have with that person in the future. You can say that Kiara comes of as bitchy, but if there is no malious intent behind it, then you are doing Kiara a big disservice by holding it against her.

Kiara’s voice that she uses for streams is kind of grating.

Weird thing is, I think her streaming voice in a forced thing that she does, to sound cuter I guess. Those rare moments when she lets it slide and speak normally, she actually sounds quite nice and endearing. She would probably be my favorite if she just was normal.
