I really like Fauna and think she's one of the best streamers in EN. Said so right away but retards thought she was just "le asmr girl" for the longest time, even though all her skills were visible from day 1.
Kronii I was almost goslinging for on debut because of her voice and personality. But she chose to absolutely piss away any potential she had because she fucking hated streaming, had no respect for hololive, and doesn't give a shit about her fans. I hate her now.
I could never fucking understand Mumei's popularity, it just came out of nowhere just because of her design (which I also don't understand how anyone can like). Her debut was total shit, her debut week was also total shit, and yet everyone couldn't stop cocksucking her regardless. She literally has no personality, and yet nobody cared about that (and don't give me the "le secret psychopath" gimmick that she only came up with MONTHS after debut). Most bizarre case of unwarranted popularity I've ever fucking seen.
Never watched Bae because of her shitty aussie timezones but boy was she annoying when I did watch. Just constantly throwing out Japanese phrases non-stop, how can anyone stand that?
As for Sana I actually thought she was alright, the Astrology shit was kind of cringe though and I don't understand why she did that instead of, say Astronomy. "Women moment" I guess? Anyway, I felt a bit bad for her because her unpopularity was clearly just because of the brown skin. But I also think she's kind of a bad person, stopping the Astronomy shit was clearly out of spite (even privated the VODs lol), and at some point she just stopped giving a shit and kept lying to her fans about her breaks. Cover did it right with JP because all their early gens were full of popular NND streamers.

With EN they don't seem to know what they're doing. Council is what happens when you're slow to the EN vtuber goldrush and take too long to scout your talents. All the proven talents get cherry picked. Not to mention since Council debuted in 2021 even more EN vtubers have been scouted for agencies. They could have gone for tried and tested streamers who will have undoubtedly succeeded just like they did with JP, but as already mentioned, they took too long. EN3 will be another batch of misfits with little experience, despite Cover's application process demanding quite the opposite. And I bet anybody who speaks a lick of Japanese thanks to having asian parents/living in japan will be once again fast tracked to the final stage of auditions.

i didn't really start liking mumei until about a year in. but the way she talks to chat now is really nice. she has good banter. also she is more comfortable talking about herself now and that is nice to listen to. it is like she views the mass of hoomans as her friend which makes her lovable. also she gets along well with EVERY other EN. they all love her and she collabs with all of them often which can't be said about any other EN. i think that is because she is a genuine person who is too anxious to properly deceive and also her laugh and how much she blabbers on about silly things. she is the backbone of snot because she is the one that sets off the "cursed" talk. that chemistry is what makes her incline since she gets viewers from all the other girls she shows up in streams with. her singing is also really nice. her debut week (really her whole debut month) she was a bundle of nerves and still she gets really nervous but she keeps getting better i think. that's why i like her.

This is newfag revisionism. Sana streamed the most in council and was like 2nd in superchats before the whole back hurt/dog hurt ordeal. I remember Mumei doing very short sporadic streams while Sana was pretty much the only council you could watch at times.
By the time backhurt/doghurt happened she was already WAY behind Mumei in subs, we are talking like half the amount say 400k vs 200k, even though she streamed more.
The algorithm killed her and the slashing affected her more than the rest.

The funny problem about Council is they just don't play to their full strengths and management shutting down their ideas. Mumei wanted to play Civ games and Sana playing kusoge, although in Sana's case it's a rare moment of management kinda being right given the whole permit situation. But a bit of effort and they could easily turn things around.

she streamed a lot for her first 2 months and then had a 1 month break. then she streamed a lot for the next 2 months (pokemon spam) and started slowing down in january. then she took basically all of feb off and spammed only kirby in march and april. streams were still much less frequent as before at this point. 6 streams in may (3 were kirby and 5 more appearances in other streams/openvc) birthday and metroid spam in june (6 streams and 3 were metroid plus 4 appearances in other streams) then july graduation. she had 2 months of consistency and variety at the start and then all of her later content was essentially spamming minecraft and either kirby or metroid with many days in between. mumei and gura can tank those periods of less streams like they have now since they have year long fans at this point. you cant get that kind of dedication from 2 months. i wonder if she would have caught up eventually.
