Can we all quickly admit that most of the drama and controversy only exists cause we are bored?

Except for the obvious four, I doubt there is a significant number of people who genuinely dislike these girls who only try to entertain us.

more likely it's because the image is too pure. we have incidents of cracks forming for varying lengths of time, letting us see a little we aren't supposed to see.
we know there is drama behind the scenes. we know there are girls who like some more and some less. we know they are 'forced' into somethings and forced, without any vagueness, into not doing others.
you merely have to look at the china incident, pekora crying on stream, the graduations -- when things reach explosive unable to contain levels is when a crack appears showing just how much more is behind that screen. of course we don't see much from the crack, just tiny indistinguishable glimpses, but it's enough to know more is happening than we know.

it's standard expectation that we won't see what's going on behind the scenes, but it's still interesting and definitely exists.

Yes. Even coco yab was just because chinks got caught in their own narrative that she hates them. A lot of vtuber yabs are literally nothing but all it takes is a few no-life shitstirrers to paint it in the wrong context and it suddenly causes a shitstorm for no reason. Another big recent one was the miko marine thing with the fujos. Literally a nothingburger, but they gave the author of doujin edited clips then took her response to those clips and caused a shitstorm out of that to create drama on twitter. Before that was the one with lamy. Just a joke she said that makes sense with the context and again was a nothingburger that got turned into something bigger because of some misrepresented clips. Also Hoshikawa stamp "yab". So many of these "yabs" just make you go "that's it?" because they are literally created out of nothing except those anti's imaginations.
