SSS quite frankly does not really suit her singing voice at all, and I feel like she'd need legitimate vocal training to even somewhat get it down (luckily they can just studio-magic the actual cover). Songs like her Kiss Me or Moon Song, which have also noticeably improved over the months we've known her, were better even from the outset, for example.
Still, it's an easy song to get a hold of like you said and I do like that she keeps trying to go for a well-known hololive idol-like song in earnest. It's endearing, so if this is the first cover she wants to do then I can get behind it. Her first proper original will be something easier on her, I'd imagine.

this is such a terrible thing to do when there's another option, which is to first simplify and transpose the vocal melody to better fit the performer. israel kamakawiwoʻole had great success using this approach with "somewhere over the rainbow", which is normally a fairly challenging song.
