Cover is making a huge mistake by delaying EN3!
There are tons of great EN VTubers on Twitch that make HoloEN seem mediocre in comparison

It's obvious that they're losing potential viewers, their stale 4-7k ccv is the proof of it. luckily holofans hate using twitch

I don't know why but it takes cover like 6 months to a year to release a new gen.The reason EN 3 is taking so long is they decided to dedicate their time to Tempus instead of girls. So best case scenario is we get a gen in early summer, maybe a bit later. My bet has always been June or July.

There's also just the issue of saturation, the JP branch has slowed down too and the EN boom calmed down pretty quickly after the first few gens/waves. I don't care which corpo you're looking at, compare the top EN Vtubers to the top JPs. There's no point rushing out more competition for yourself if the audience just isn't growing anymore.

Western audiences still see VTubers as a weird niche for anime losers, and that's not going to change while the big ones on Twitch are all coomer baiting. You might consider filtering the normies a good thing but the trade-off is limited growth, both in audience and number of talents.
