For those claiming that the name doesn't matter, you're wrong. Yeah, it'll be the same person and all, but imagine being invested into a person who has a really nice name that you like, but suddenly they decide to change it to something that you don't like. It feels lame. Rose is such a simple, short and easy to say name while Kitanya doesn't sound and looks as beautiful. Nyanta is strange too, and two nyas in a name don't cut it for me.

I don't see the issue. She Rose/Kitanya/Whatever doesn't see a huge amount of growth, most of her new viewers are on twitch. New viewers will only know her by the new name, old viewers will eventually get used to it, and viewers she just got will get used to it faster. It seems like it's just a couple people bitching that change is scary and makes them mad, but won't actually affect her at all.

growth on twitch is way more consistent than on youtube, where you just have to hope that whatever you did makes "the algorithm" happy. going from 0 to about 100 followers is still about as inconsistent as youtube, but afterwards you're no longer relying on some arcane search engine optimization, but instead simple networking and having a circle of friends that shill each other.
