If you think about it, they could be considered a blessing in disguise. I was definitely spending too much time watching too many Vtubers. Ever since Luxiem, Noctyx, and then Tempus debuted. I have watched fewer Vtubers and for less time. It’s a blessing in disguise.

When Hololive got famous for lewd clips and CGDCT then all indies started to imitate the seiso act in the west, burning themselves out and acting cringe af because they couldn't do it right,
When ironmouse and cooksie were on the rise the whoretubers were born, roasties flooded the genre and the ones who just slipped and just said something lewd by accident were quickly clipped by cooksie, making them indies famous, so their entire persona would shift to being lewd and how much dick they suck
When the Luxiemsistes came they actually gave male vtubers a chance to shine...... in CHINA and SEA, which subsequently brought the most fujo insane fanbase I've ever seen since Kpop cultists, their success made Hololive double down on something nobody really wanted to and made them delay something the audience really wanted.

They made vtubing into a culture war. As much as this board wants to deny it, StarsEN was inevitable. But there is a timeline where Tempus debuts, they occasionally do collabs that a bunch of people skip and a bunch of people don’t, and then they do their own thing most of the time (like currently, funny enough).
But no, to a lot of people, Luxiem established the idea that male collabs means males all the time, without warning, and kpop tourists being treated equally to actual vtuber fans.
So now, anytime someone says “Sure, I don’t care if Axel does a karaoke and Bae shows up as a guest or Kronii and Vesper play a video game together, just don’t spam them and muddle the brand,” you’re a unicorn now. Even if you’re saying it because you know Tempus is going to become female accessories like how NijiEN girls became male accessories if they keep it up and you’re trying to help them.
