Interesting thing to notice today, but membership streams definitely count towards the viewcount. Choco had a stream that was originally public so you could see the live views, then converted to members only after it ended. Today choco gained 50k live views over the normal average. This would explain the spike months back that everyone got in views when youtube added them in.
