I feel like she's gotten a lot quieter than her debut. I like her manic screaming followed by silence but I think people were complaining about her during collabs so she's trying to be less obnoxious about it. While she's more confident, I can't help but feel a lot of her coworkers have this idea that she's a comedian and expects people to be funny so they get intimidated by her. Someone chill like Flare actually works out as a good collab but Nene will always be the best

It's a much tougher spot to be in to have an expected level of comedy. There are jokes about them being more comedians than idols but in truth their acts would tank horribly if they tried to do it consistently. With them having a preconceived idea of being cute anime streamers the comedic moments are highlighted. I remember for her memberships, she had to specify don't sub if you're expecting a funny fool because she instead talks about literature and odd topics. It might be a trick to take pressure off herself but it is really endearing to see someone try so hard to be entertaining but swap to being passionate about some other topic.

There was also the janitor incident, which was a joke/skit between some of Gen 5 and Aqua. The joke was supposed to be about how Aqua was a bad boss and how her company was bad to work at. It was also supposed to be a joke about someone taking credit for something they had little relation to. But the delivery was bad enough that it easy to clip out of context and make it sound like they were deliberately shitting on janitors who were janitors for a long time, and saying that janitors didn't contribute to their companies. Polka's additions to the joke specifically were some of the most poorly phrased parts. The girls clearly didn't actually mean to shit on janitors though. It was just a shit joke that then got even further taken out of context. They tweeted apologies afterwards and it was never a huge incident (even if some claim that it was), but I still think it hurt her confidence when it came to collabs for a bit.

I swear polka is just an endless spiral of chaos because she is the only holo that when I watch I legitimately don't know what is going on with her head.

sometimes she will just do random cute noises, only to immediately go silent and want to apologize about doing them, sometimes she breaks into song, gets asked what song it was then goes completely silent about it, sometimes she will be cheerful to other holos, or straight up stay silent to their advances, punch them and run, like I recommend watching the 6-hour flare geoglyph stream because not even fucking flare (one of the most assertive holos in existence) can tell what the fuck polka is thinking about, which culminated in this really interesting exchange.

For example, you have some holos that can't play a character right and are mostly themselves like kiara, risu, subaru. And then you have other that play it to perfection like Marine, Miko, Fubuki.
They all have their "thing" that can be easily described to new viewers and they fit into a shelf, but polka is different

If that's the case you're probably out of luck buddy. I'd give the non-HoloJP groups pretty bad odds at getting 3D models because of how Cover has it set up.

1 - The person has to travel to the main office to do 3D work. Gura, Ame, and Ina don't live in Japan so they're out of luck on that front.

2 - The first HoloID gen debut before them and they have yet to get 3D models.

3 - Technically all the Hololive branches operate independently. So it's up to each individual branch to source technology and resources for their talents.

Gen 5 honestly gave out one of the best performances. The girls were coordinated in their dance movements (at least compared to other performances which all felt rather chaotic desutbh) Putting Polka in the center was also a clever move considering that she's the strongest singer and dancer of the trio & has more experience with this kind of stuff.
My only gripe is that there were so little of Gen 5. They never showed up again after that one-off. Of course getting idol outfits this early is out of the question but they didn't even get to perform on the same stage as the other holo members even though Gen 4 did in HoloFes2 despite being the newcomers back then. Also expected a solo act with Hologram Circus.
