As most funds were approaching their first birthdays, I was working on a "birthday calendar" for them because I thought it'd be kinda silly. Betting will obviously still continue for events on NASFAQ, but as no trades can be made, Dividends from currently-owned coins will be the only source of recharging spent funds when you bust on a bad bet.

Morning Review and Numbers Review, being intrinsically tied to the thread, will not be published. The data will no longer be collected starting tomorrow. If honk returns, or if somebody remakes NASFAQ (or a similiar vtuber market game), I'll likely return as well. I don't see why I wouldn't.

NASFAQ helped stabilize a sleep schedule, introduced me to vtubers I'd never watch otherwise, and served as a gateway to other communities I'd never have otherwise engaged with.
I'll miss it, but the legacy NASFAQ has made will live on, even if the game itself doesn't.

Damn I'm sad now. I've used /nasfaq/ since I believe the first big wipe the site had. I used to be some small time trader that bought occasionally. After taking a break I came back after VTL 1 and it became a ritual to wake up, set my morning trades 3 hours after adjustment then head off to Uni for the day. After getting small gifts from fellow anons I grew my networth and began to slowly climb the leaderboards. I wasn't some big name but I enjoyed my team using the site and browsing the thread.

May as well share what the anniversary event was going to be, Shimoneta style was the inspiration. Ideally I would have also liked to get fishing out, I had a rough plan as to how it would work, and planned to take some time over the summer to get it out. Despite not opening the tab in half a year, not watching any streams for months, and not keeping the trader running for over a dozen weeks, there is this feeling of loss and regret that's hard to describe. The tragedy of when I try and go back to update my auto-trades for the first time in months and the site is dead. Truly, I killed NASFAQ.
I didn't spend all that much time here, all things considered, but I met a lot of people and had a lot of fun in the end, and I still hold a very soft spot in my heart for you all. It's sad that it has to go this way, not with a bang, but with a whimper. See you all at the big market in the sky.

I've thought many times about when this day would come and what I would say, even if I haven't visited the site in months, same with this thread other than to check up on what was going on a few times, I'm really at a loss for words to what to say here, I met a lot of people, made lots of memories, learnt a lot of things that I otherwise wouldn't have, got angry, got sad, and pretty much all the feelings that are there to feel, yet I still look back on it as an important part of my life that helped me a lot to grow

Finally, everything, whether good or bad, must come to an end. I've got more than a few regrets, plenty of unfinished projects, and a bunch of goals I still haven't achieved.
