Yeah, I figured as much (though the lyrics were done by Nelson Babin-Coy). Generally, if a song is meant to sound like a Japanese idol / anime song, I'd prefer to hear it in that language. Failing that, they need to make the lyrics flow better. Solid example is when they say the word "Tomorrow" in the song, spreading the word's syllables the way they did feels so unnatural. The whole song feels unnatural from a lyric composition standpoint when it should leave you with a bright cheery feeling based on the melody, it kinda just doesn't work. I'd love to hear them do a cover in the language that song sounds like it was intended to be sang in instead, it feels like a shining example of what happens when you conform with the expectation that your songs have to be English without making a song intended to be English from conception.
