There's a bug with xbox one controllers that causes games to crash when the cpu gets too hot (it crashes the display and all screens go black for a few seconds). I'm guessing that's the issue they had with phogs because before the crashes there were no lag spikes and their models looked fine. They can fix it by updating the firmware of the controllers with the xbox accesories app.
If the game is lightweight enough they should be fine.
All of this is assuming they were using xbox one controllers, if they weren't guess their pc is just trash
