AI is useful in terms of roleplay and fleshing out a story.

It's a massive no no. It's like using AI to make artwork. In her defense it seems like she's just using it for RPG gaming and is just fiddling with it, but in most novels you want to have a coherent story and have arcs for your characters. If it's AI generated you didn't write it so you're not going to remember it. Then imagine publishing it. Is it an AI work or is it yours? Etc etc.

The thing with AI writing is that you usually tweak it to your liking. What you get from the AI is just a starting point to get you going. AI art on the other hand is generally never edited because editing it takes as much effort as drawing it from scratch. What you get by allowing AI art is a bunch of mass produced trash made by AI "artists" who are just hoping people don't look close enough at the images to find the artifacts before giving them free social media points.
