Umisea was clowned on because of poor numbers and horrible songs, not for lack of chemistry. If you were in the threads during their rare streams or actually watched you would know. Despite the language barrier they made it work and Gura x Marine in particular had great playful banter. If you want to see an actual example of 'great individuals but zero chemistry' watch the Mori Coco shitpost review where there's no language barrier and infinite potential for chemistry. Instead it was a one-sided show and Mori uncharacteristically barely had any input on anything, even Coco had to say "is she always like this?"
