To summarize my thoughts on the matter without arguing, if Ame felt like doing her own thing at usaken festival then that's alright, but I'd like to see her push herself more in the future and not balk at the thought too much. I still think the origins of Haachama’s current mental state begin with how poorly she was treated by EN management. And then her own managers started curtailing her creativity. Whether you like her schizo arc or not, it was uniquely her thing. Something no one else in hololive or even in vtubing had. Haachama has always preferred to do her own thing rather than just play games like almost everyone else in hololive.
I don’t buy the college rrat. Tons of people juggle college and jobs. Haachama could easily still stream a few times a week while attending college. Especially in her freshman year.

We all know how Ame is socially awkward is in groups collabs but the issue with the summer festival was that if she wasn't going to talk to people much (which is fine) she should have interacted with chat more instead of being silent the majority of the time. Fubuki was doing the exact same cameraman thing as Ame but the difference was at least FBK was interacting with chat.

Not a Teamate, but I've watched a lot of Ame since her debut and so here's my unbiased take on her resolutions half way into the year.

>try to keep a good sleep schedule
Not great so far. But to be fair something like this is almost impossible for people in her position. It's always going to be all over the place because Ame's job doesn't force her to wake up at 8am like a normal 9-5.

>release an original song
Cover song coming out soon. There's still plenty of time left for an original.

>eat healthier stop ordering stuff
Kek, this would always be a tough one. Although with the amount of food she now can't eat due to her gluten allergy it's possible she now might really start eating healthier. But if her streams are anything to go by, then she still orders more than she cooks.

>get better at singing
Clear improvement, and only antis or those who havent watched from the beginning can't see it. She's much more confident, and if it's a song she's actually practiced it's evident she's better now. /vt/ hears "Ame has improved" and they are expecting her to suddenly sound like Mariah Carey after they go 3 months without not listening to her.

>improve japanese skills
No improvement here at all. She might have learned a few new words here and there, but she's not actually any better.

For all we know she could be working out more than before. But if she was talking about streaming for longer/a mindset thing then it's hard to see. Streams are always going to be at different lengths depending on what she's doing anyway.

Still very hot and cold. I think she's gotten better at 1v1 collabs, but in collabs with more than 3 people she still needs to improve.

I know this has been talked about to death. I'm glad that Ame had a good time during the summer festival, in her own way. But from an entertainment perspective it wasn't great. Imagine if we got some actual interactions. She tried being the camera man, but she was poor at it - Standing far away from where everything was happening instead of getting up close. Once again, if she had a good time that's fine. But if I were to be selfish I would have loved for her to try even a little bit of what Gura did and attempt to interact with JPs and see what comes of it. Chumbuds were over the moon seeing their oshi get a few seconds with the likes of Pekora and Miko (yes I know Miko came up to Ame and stared, but surely we're talking more than that?)

I felt like this was a rare opportunity to exchange with hololive members, without the pressure or sense of awkardness that's present in actual one-to-one collab.

Gura did not "approach" the JP holos, they approached her.
Peko was in her face and she went to the correct voice channel so she got a lot of interactions with others later.
Ame was a dumbo and kept her UI off, so she didn't see a lot of important stuff that people posted on chat, and was in a voice channel where people were not translating to EN.
I'm not gonna say its not her fault, but don't compare Gura to Ame, because the JP holos made that much easier for her.
