Pika just got too big for him to handle, and he still made a huge profit compared to his expectations. He originally only wanted one vtuber that would maybe get 10k subs. Plus they're still friends on Steam so there's no hard feelings.

Seems he stopped full production since VOMs, but just started back up again recently

VOMs was definitely an innovator for the time, having 3 iconic designs along with a talent who spoke both JP and english in a pre-holomyth era was huge for them. Problem is after Magnet got fired VOMs starting making one mistep after the other, and it felt more and more like GYARI lost interest in fully promoting the brand.
Pikamee staying as long as she did was impressive enough, VOMs feels more like friend group rather than an actual competitive vtuber company, and has for a long time.
