Instead of coming back to streaming on Twitch, I stream to my best friend now. This is probably the better option for me right now, since I don't feel bad when I make a mistake and other people see it.

Networking is extremely important, but you can't really do that on youtube. He'll always struggle to gain an audience without marketing or having a niche, and I don't see anything special/marketable about him.
Also needs more shorts/clips if you want people to get a feel for your content.

I feel like such an absolute failure and waste of space right now. I've been streaming for well over a year by now and I don't feel like I am any closer to becoming a 2 view than I was 6 months ago. Sure people will follow me, but getting people to actually tune in seems like a losing battle. All that is happening is that I am turning into one of those guys who people will see and say "wow that guy has a lot of followers why is nobody watching. must be something wrong with him".

I probably should quit. But streaming is the only positive thing In my life. All I have in life is a dead end job and constant pain that pain meds can't even really handle any more. I don't even really fit in here any more, the thread has changed so much and nobody wants some old vtuber stinking up the place any more. Well sorry for the blogpost anyway. I did some sound tests, anons -- hopefully next time I should sound a bit better! It was a combination of my mic being too close to my mouth and the EQ preset I was using being rather crap. I messed around with compression (a really nice friend helped out) and I think we landed on a good configuration.

Please look forward to next time! I might keep going with Chrono Trigger for a bit, I don't have many other ideas for stream games because I don't have a Switch capture card yet. I'd have to also buy some new games.

Street Fighter 6 is an option! Though I'd probably just keep losing in ranked.

Clash of Chuubas was on earlier today and focuses on larger indie chuubas. Squared Circuit was yesterday and focuses on AI and Neurosama-adjacent chuubas.

There's no real need to expand into corpo areas when those are already served better by feds that specifically provide that sort of content. HFZ/HFZDark already do amazing Holomem stuff. World Daipan Classic does need Niji content. Clash of Chuubas was/is good /wvt/ content. I'm happy with how ECW is developing with its current trajectory and its own little niche.

There's a couple problems I run into. I could make an addition to cover the back of the ball joint and layer it onto the upper leg like the muscles in a real leg would, which would give it more of a rounded butt look, but if the leg bends backward the deformation would probably look a little strange, and then it also brings up the question of "if there's synthetic skin material for the butt, why wouldn't that same material be used to cover the entire body and cover all the joints?" I could do it the typical BJD way and have the top of the upper leg be the joint itself and sculpt it to look more cheeky, but then it starts to look more like a doll and less like a machine. I can sculpt the pelvis area to have a more defined butt shape but that would limit the range of movement that the hip joint could achieve. I mean, ultimately it wouldn't matter because it's going to be a 3D model and I can just have the leg clip through the pelvis, but I'm a stickler and want it the body's construction to make sense on some level; I don't want to restrict the movement of the limbs too much.

Trying to make the joints work in a believable way while also making them have full range of movement AND be aesthetically pleasing is rather difficult.
