I remember my experience when the first souls released and I was barely a teen. By the end of my first playthrough, I was an over-leveled SL 250+ mess (via darkroot cliff farm) with an accumulated death count to match. Now I can confidently do no death runs of every game in the series because once they clicked, they were so fucking easy.

You are a coddled fool, Blighttown is fun precisely because it's a wretched, difficult experience unlike most of the rest of the game where you have to go through a huge, confusing area with long gaps between bonfires and little idea of where you're going or how you'll get back. Finally finding the bonfire down in the sewer area at the bottom is a massive relief which drains the tension away. Looking everything up in a guide completely robs you of that experience, you sap all sense of discovery away out of some desire not to be frustrated when being frustrated and confused is an inherent part of balancing the many feelings and experiences the game seeks to provide.

yeah that's why it's good for streamers to go overkill on their PC builds. the other way to fix it other than upgrading is to have Bae open OBS in administrator mode, it will reduce her FPS in game slightly but will give the encoder higher priority so the stream frames wont drop
