Very early on, there was a certain amount of awkwardness. She was tired from working multiple jobs, and was still trying to figure out what the hell she was doing as a streamer, what boundaries she had, what limits there were on content. I wasn't there for it, but from what I understand, things got uncomfortable from time to time.

Weirdness was never really an issue, and although mori's gotten more comfortable with fans being thirsty, it was never really the heart of any drama. I doubt mori ever wanted unicorns, and any she had are long gone or learned to stfu.

I'd say that's a fair characterization of how she is.

I like both, and yeah Gachiakuta has a way more unique and has a more visually engaging setting and character designs, but Chainsaw Man just blows it out of the water in terms of writing. Chainsaw Man is tightly paced, focused, and the characters are just more likeable.
Gachiakuta will never be in one of my top manga because of how terrible Chapter 26, the writing is sloppy and KEI clearly prioritizes flashy visuals over good story telling.
I still can't wait to see what happens once they cross the border.

In it Denji searches for maternal love in Makima, platonic love in Power, and romantic love in Reze in an attempt to achieve his dream of living a fulfilling life.

For example Aki misses the experience of familial love he had growing up and eventually finds it in Denji and Power, and Kishibe was driven by an unrequited love for Quanxi.
Villains like Makima and Santa Claus use the love others have for them and twist it, they both use love to control people and put them down.
Fujimoto's writing is way more focused then you give it credit for. And everything he writes is thematically connected.

I'm not saying that the themes are inconsistent, cause they are not, similarly in Fire Punch where themes are centered around revenge, self-sacrifice and general reliance on other people to find happiness and place in life
but the plot itself is not, it jumps from event to event, introduces characters only to nearly immediately kill them off, sense of time and continuity can be all over the place and so on, that's not focused writing lol

as far as writing that's stays true on its main theme but also keeps a strongly developed plot with a good focused flow, I think there are great examples in manga like Berserk, FMA or Shaman King, if I reach to some more popular ones or stuff from Satoshi Mizukami (Hoshi no Samidare's author) for some more niche but still recognizable ones
