The void left by the pillars Mysta and Nina can't be filled by only 3 newcomers. The decline in viewership is just so huge.

When will they learn that adding new talents does no good when the NijiiEN box is shrinking. It just cannibalizes each other. And by abandoning poor-performing talents, it causes their fans to only support their oshis. Toxic system.

She can't bring in new fans if she doesn't do anything, her only value is having fans that refuse to leave

Adding new talents is a small overall uptick on total viewership, which is all they care about, unfortunately. They probably recoup the costs of debuting livers in a couple of months anyway so anything they generate afterwards is pure profit, no matter how meager it gets for individual talents.

Reminder, that while Gura and Ina were not streaming, they were the only ones gaining new subscribers for that month.
Even while Gura is on break, her channel continually gets high traffic, still gets tons of clips done of her. Her AI covers go viral. And she gets the Vtuber of the Year award. But what really matters is that YouTube algorithm still loves her. That's what brings in the new blood.
Gura loses fans, but it's less noticeable since she also gains new fans.

Checks out, most western vtuber fans don't watch streams, so Gura's lack of streams doesn't hurt her momentum. She's like a train that doesn't slow down after hitting an 18-wheeler.

Gura still has it. Look at her flexing during Advent's debut.
She made the top 10 even while Advent was overlapping her with their debut buff.

My point was they need to work on bringing those outside of the box. YouTube algorithm doesn't go outside just for new debuts. Especially on short notice with no promotions.
They need someone like old Vox or Gura.
Wouldn't be surprised that Cover encouraged Gura to overlap Advent to bring in more tourists during that time.
