V-Tubers have broken me. I've finally normalized this picture as normal.
This is it. This is where I am happy. It's autistic. It's geeky. But I can't run anymore.

No more pretending I don't like the cute moe girls. No more pretending I don't like the figures. I'm not the normal guy. I can't be. I'm the guy who likes this stuff but can be normal and have a good job.
This is what Watame does to you. This is what Miko does to you.

Get me on of those Nitocris figures anon.

I thought this was normal when I was a kid. Are you seriously telling me there are people who didn't get into weeb shit before looking at vtubers?

I used to avoid these stores when I pass them,
but now I feel compelled to enter and browse around...

I liked anime, i liked manga, but the idea of buying a rem figure in a bikini was foreign. so too was wearing shirts with moe on it. or just general buying of anime/moe goods in public.
if im being honest i still don't quite get the figures thing, but i no longer mentally judge.

I don't even consider myself a hardcore weeb, it's more of a general interest, but buying figures seems like a normal activity to me. The skimpy lewd ones, not so much, but to each his own. Shirts depend on how brave you are i.e. will you have a mental breakdown if someone asks you what's on your shirt.

See, it's an issue if you can't normalize anything else but this. You've just expanded your horizons OP. There are some people who can't go into an auto shop or gun store without feeling out of place.
Just don't be a total recluse and enjoy your hobby. Meet some people that you can share your interest in, and don't be afraid to enter new hobbies. they open new worlds and let you meet people who you can bond with.
>not gonna lie, the first set of weeb goods I bought was polka's birthday stuff, followed by a pack of gen 4 rebirth cards. They sunk me in this hole, but I'm not complaining

i think i'm just too much of a jaded zoomer who has grown up paying particular attention to thoughts and opinions of older generations. all my college friends get pussy and a good amount of them have stuff like anime figurines and other weeb stuff.
i don't think this stuff was well accepted in the 2000s, or even most of the 10's, but it seems to be accepted now in 2021.

>> No.6191400

i like that more people like vtubers in the west now but it's weird to me how many western vtuber fans (or even western vtubers) think weeb shit is cringe or whatever. vtubers ARE weeb shit.

teenagers like to shit on everything. especially irony poisoned zoomers. you cannot have something atypical like v-tubing buck that trend.

yea maybe back in 2006 but now in 2021 you're just an ironic weeb normalfag

its still autistic. you should see some of the people in these stores.

It wasn't as accepted as it is now, but back then I had friends who were into it so it felt more normal to me. Hanging out with the lads playing anime openings in the car was a normal pasttime for me back then and apparently now that's what lots of zoomers do.

i'm autistic but sensitive about it so i've avoided these places out of fear. i've given up doing that.

I used to hide my autismo levels too anon, fearing that I wasn't good enough to 'represent' them.

But now I bench lmao3pl8 for reps and OHP 180 for reps and I blast Red Heart from my car and don't give a shit
