Sparks is thankfully a lot shorter than Bokura no Ashiato and it has an English title so it should get a decent amount of views over the next few days and stay relevant.
But the opportunity for an explosion like Goodbye Declaration was gone the moment Kiara decided to release it on a day she also streams.

Mori can pull shit like that because she has a large following interested in music. Reflect did well 1.) because Gura and 2.) her first original song was anticipated for months now.
Violet and whatever Ame will release when she finally does will also have hype behind them that Kiara's third release simply did not have.

I've never understood the chicken voice argument. If you've watched at least 5 different anime in your life with the original voice acting, you ought to have run into an even higher pitched character voice. A lot of her colleagues have even higher pitches. I'd classify her voice as moderately high in Hololive.
As for the peaking, it's not that often that it happens and again, it happens with other members as well. Yet again, I feel like Kiara is singled out for things that happen all over Hololive, but because timeloops exists and a lot of the posters here have barely watched Hololive before EN, the criticism remains.

Honestly she has gotten a lot better at it. I actually enjoy it now as long as she doesn't peak - but that's on her settings and less on her vocal abilities.
Her last two songs were great and even her karaoke is a lot better than it was in the beginning because she is now more used to the chicken voice. In the beginning she had almost no range but by now her range is quite decent.
We are in for the long haul with that voice I feel.

Honestly Heart Challenger was also gonna be a slow grower since it was more of a seasonal song but YT's shadowban completely fucked it's growth and discovery. We probably won't ever get a Heart Challenger 2.0, HC was fucked on several different levels. By contrast, the only "problem" with Sparks' release is that she could have hyped it up more and algorithmically should've released it yesterday or today instead of on a day where she streamed twice. The VSinger thing she could do absolutely nothing about so it's not worth seething over not that I'll stop and the general response she's received has been very good.
On a completely different note, I've wanted to hear her work with a different producer for a while now and I think I much prefer this Kira fellow's production over Gojo. Even as someone who was not only fine, but liked that she sang songs in Japanese I can't help but admit that this new song is very catchy and has a lot more potential to grow than Heart Challenger or Bokura no Ashiato. "Generic Pop", which frankly I feel is almost a redundant term, IS what you'll most likely find doing well. That's what it is designed to do, "mildy unique" doesn't make waves. You have to be more than mild, you need to be extraordinary.
Trust the process, chimkin is gonna be inclining over her next year I can tell.

I don't know if Gojo is able to write better songs but Hinotori and Heart Challenger were pretty clearly written with Kiara's early chicken voice in mind. Both require almost no range and let her sing in a way she could handle at the start of her career.
Her abilities have improved a lot since then and Sparks forces her to drop deeper a few times but not deep enough that she falls out of her voice.

the upside to her being able to back up superchats is also a downside because while it means she won't lose them it also means there's no inherent push to get them cleared out ASAP. As a side note, while KFP didn't go as hard with their wallets as some people thought I'm glad we at least were able to donate a similar amount to her 1 million. Getting ~$30k in so soon after her 1 million stream is pretty impressive since a lot of people went hard on that one.

But Kiara's donations are hardly run-of-the mill, at least when it comes to her normal streams.
Kiara is very consistent and usually above Mori. Gura is extremely inconsistent, sometimes she gets 4k a stream, sometimes she gets almost nothing. She is probably still above Kiara on average.
Ina and Ame are far lower than either of these three.
Saying Kiara's earning are too be expected from a Myth is kinda harsh on them...
