It was always an idol company. Back when they started the vtubing meta changed from youtube video skits uploads to full time streamer.

It's not an idol company dumbass. If it were an idol company you'd have only 30 talents or so left. Maybe even less. Hololive lets you get away with quite a lot that the idol industry would fire you for.
