I don't think Suisei is that great a singer. She has power, but its not very controlled. When she starts hitting notes out of her lower register, she attacks/accents her notes. It can be very jarring to listen to especially when the song doesn't warrant that much energy or contrast in dynamics. I'm surprised its not something she's trying to fix.

The other anon is correct in seeing that there is something wrong with Suisei's singing. I've noticed it too and its hard to pinpoint what it is that is unsettling with her singing. It seems very inorganic and forced. I don't think it's stage fright, but more of either her choice in belting above a certain range or her inability to control dynamics above a certain range. She tends to attack/accent high notes very often when it isn't warranted which does affect her tone consistency. When she sings, it sounds like she's singing to sing and get it over with. She doesn't sound like she's singing with an audience in mind.

I wouldn't say she's not a good singer, but I do think she has some tone/sound control issues at times. When she's in tune and controls the nasal sound she sounds great, but sometimes she can miss notes or go too hard on the sound.
