The world's strongest idol is in a really wacky place in terms of establishing a baseline character for her since she's basically been in some combination of 'creative reinvention' and weeks long bit ever since the Australia arc. I think if you want to try and come up with/synthesize the character interpretation yourself it's probably best to go with 2022+ material rather than trying to use the wacky shit she was doing back when she was finally done with Australian highschool.

Got through chapter 1, but I think my eyes need a break before moving onto the second. The green on black strains my eyes a little, but I'm just not used to it. Anyway, it was a very engaging first chapter. You painted the background, need to know history, and even the general public states very cleanly. I really enjoyed the little includes of other languages within some of the dialogue.
I noticed a few tiny grammatical things here and there, but easily nothing breaking in any way.
Subaru was my commanding officer during the Second Homeland War. But thanks to some Party apparatchik, she got screwed out of any promotion. I ended up becoming Captain while she stayed a Lieutenant. - The second sentence should likely be part of the first via a comma, though with introspective thought, the rules can be bent, so it still reads fine.
Having taken what should’ve been hers, it was hard for me to face her even after the War ended. - If "War" is going to be capitalized to reference a named thing The War would be its full title. Hope that isn't coming off as too nitpicky or anything. A friend of mine always does his best to do the same for me and help make whatever I read as good as it can be, so I try to do the same for others.
Your passion for your project is abundantly clear once again and you made something awesome. I'll be sure to read through chapter 2 and post my thoughts when I can.

Just read chapter one, and while I respect the amount of thought and worlbuilding you've put into this, I think you may need to pump the brakes a little. You've gotta understand that the stuff in your head that you have a clear picture of might not be so clear to everyone else. About halfway through the story I was lost and had no idea who belonged to what country or what the state of the world was supposed to be like. By the end it was slightly clearer, but this could really use a series landing page like Holofan or HBT to give the reader a better overview of this world and what each country/person/organisation represents. I can't say I'm a fan of the green-black colour scheme either, but I guess that's just the style you're going for.
I'll still be reading chapter two however, since you've done a good job at capturing my interest and making me want more. I might not fully understand everything but the main premise of the story is intriguing and I'd love to see more of the characters get fleshed out.

I'll have to admit, I was going for a 'in medias res' approach to the worldbuilding. Like how in FromSoft games the player is caught in the moment and they have to piece together the breadcrumbs of the world and story on their own? You may notice this from Chapter 2 onwards (and all the other chapters I've already written out).
But considering the fact that I have explain this in the first place means that my execution of that approach was flawed, so I'll have to retroactively establish a baseline understanding of what Holoslavia is, etc.
So I'll definitely make that series landing page. It will have a whole map of Holoslavia, along with some facts and figures like how one would find it in an almanac. I could frame it all as an entry in an in-universe book, then have all the chapter links at the bottom. It will be a nice project to get into this weekend.

Just got with chapter 2, the green on black was much easier to handle with daylight in my room, so that's a plus.
