You know what really bothers me about posts like this is that they set the time for the prediction so far away that when the time comes and it doesn't happen, everybody will have forgotten about it. Two years is a long fucking time, nobody fucking cares today about what's going to happen two years from now. I think people who make posts like this don't have the balls to make a prediction for a shorter time, because they're worried they'll be wrong and people will laugh at them, but if they say "two years" they can feel that smug arrogance of "I'm right and this company is doomed" and get pats on the back from their buddies, without any of the risk of being laughed at in two years when they're wrong. I know I sure don't have the patience to screencap a post like that and hold onto it for two years just to have the guy who posted it refuse to come forth when I call him out. So instead I'm going to post this now, probably get laughed at, but in two years I'll probably remember this and get annoyed again that yet another idiotic, arrogant post once again turned out to be wrong. Assuming, of course, nothing else happens to the world in the interim. Things are in such a fragile state that if vtubing comes to an end, it may have nothing to do with the companies' decisions and could be the result of a major global incident.
