IMO Hololive should hire artists to work in house who have experience making vtuber art/assets.
Hire whatever artist you want to come up with the character design/concept art for publicity, but have the in house team adapt the design for rigging and consistency with the rest of the talents.
Essentially the same way animation studio's adapt character designs for animation.

Believe it or not, there is easily much worse than 4chan when it comes to moderation. Check darkweb forums and you find kson-unapproved pizza flowing like "the holocaust was fake" out of /pol/.
IRC chatrooms also have the same vibe, especially when there's no IP tracking. It's great honestly.

pretty sure there was a good number of people actually sending complaint emails to cover and all it did was get Gura's cat ears "fixed" and the tiny hole in her chest filled in after like a week and a half of shitposting everywhere, every other problem remained and there was no public statement from the rigger, or cover. Gura even had "rigging" and "rigger" banned in her chat for awhile, either she did it herself or management, and for sure management was aware, as this issue was brought up on the official reddit page. I'm not sure if there's going to be enough outrage again for IRyS and everyone that is apparently fine with this are probably pretending to like it because it was her debut stream and it would be upsetting those involved.
Also this is cover we're talking about, not a great track record of quality assurance or making sure the talents get proper treatment.
