Slept, watched a bunch of anime, drew some, played some vidya with my friends; it was an uneventful few days but nevertheless very comfy. Long time thread lurker here. Hope you all had a nice christmas. I think streaming is really fun and I want to do it more often but have a couple of issues that prevent me from doing so, and I would love some advice.

>1. I'm a flaming autist and I struggle to talk to viewers who I don't know beforehand and also to interact with other streamers.

I'm also a flaming autist. Here's my bad advice, merry christmas.
1. Prepare yourself a brief, canned greeting, something like "Hi (name), welcome to the stream" or even shorter is fine and force yourself to say this to people the first time you see them in your chat. Some streamers greet people the first time they chat every stream. In general, talk as if you're chatting to a room full of people quietly listening to you, and only switch to "having a conversation with someone" mode if a chatter is consistently active. Unless you're on a good roll saying something interesting, respond to viewer's chat messages quickly. You'll slowly get to know your viewers if you talk about interesting enough stuff and they chime in. You can't and shouldn't rely on chatters to carry the stream, and you don't want viewers to feel pressured to chat in response. If you already are a chuuba viewer, start small with streamer interaction by viewing and chatting in other streamer's chats.
2. Turn off your view count. Practice talking to yourself while gaming offline. Come up with a list of topics prior to each stream so you have something to bounce off of. Eventually you won't need the list anymore.
3. Set a schedule that isn't ambitious and stick to it. Set a personal growth goal, something that isn't based on viewer numbers that you can use to track your progress. Spend time outside of streams thinking about what you do and don't find interesting in the streams of others. Ask yourself what kind of entertainer you are, and whether streaming is a good medium for that kind of entertaining.

gumpai and denpa are definitely hobby artists. they both have fun art styles but i think i’ve seen a broader portfolio with denpa than with gumpai. if i had to include them they’d be a tier before hanabi. i’m definitely leaning more towards gumpai being first than denpa because a lot of her art is just messy and it doesn’t clash well with her art style
