The original was people superchatting Kiara about their dead dog, then someone here posted LETS GOOOOOOO, then someone did something similar to Gura, then someone superchatted "Gura my dog died LETS GOOOOOOO" and she yelled that one over reading the dead dog superchat.

what the other anon said, the Gura superchat that's the most famous example was making fun of all the trauma dumping that had been happening but kiara had the dead dog superchat(s) first. Can't believe that was like 2 years ago at this point and honestly that the player keeps making it back on to the roster

She'll definitely stay as the keeper for this cup since she won the keeper vote last time, but as for the name I know some people want to change it but I also havent been given any suggestions at least that I can remember and people enjoy posting it in chat. I feel like keeping it the same is fine for this cup and then see if people want to change it during the next vote.

I feel like a few people have also said this before but it can be hard. Because Age of 30 is specifically Marine, Hag Love is a general hag player. Maybe if people wanted next time polling comes around Marine could be up for a name change and change hag love to age of 30 name wise? It's just hard because if you have 1 general meme like a Hag Love or cute and funny then any other player option playing on that same territory feels like overlap even if its fitting

"Marine" shouldnt be the rep, the rep should be a meme. If Marine can represent that meme then great, if not then the model should represent the meme. I feel this will also help prevent people from saying the team is all hololive or whatever tribalfag shit people want to try and push. Hag Love could be any vtuber that is a hag, or Virtual Obaasan could be used as a model or something. It's another reason why changing from "Kiara my dog died" to "My dog died lets go" could make it so there is less tribalfagging, the model doesn't need to be a vtuber, it can be the meme.

I have explained this before, there are options on the poll that are about singular chuubas because this is a board about talking about vtubers and some of the memes are going to be about specific vtubers. I know some people have said what you are saying right now but I can guarantee you more people would be upset if we just removed every single chuuba option from the poll and tried to only do general memes. That is why there are so many options on the polls including general memes. So people can vote for what they want. Also we have been having Hag Love be a rotating set of hags

Lets gooooo has for sure evolved past kiara so having only kiara represent it feels a bit off to me is all. I also feel that if you dont list what [meme in question] will be represented as in the poll that will make people vote for the actual memes instead of whatever vtuber they like or dont like, leading to less tribalism and better representation of the board.

it's just kind of hard to do that in a clear and concise way on a poll especially if we arent sure at the time what the model would exactly look like and if we have an idea we think would be better we'd be kind of beholden to the model idea that was expressed in the poll

You might be overloading yourselves by prethinking what a model will be before its even voted on, wasting a lot of time in the process. What I would do personally would be wait until the polls are closed then choose or come up with the models for the meme to be represented by. That way, instead of 100 models to think of you get like, 4.

Anon what I'm saying here is when you list what the meme in question will be represented as in the poll, the main way i'd do that is give a description of what the model will look like since the model is how the player is represented. and making those descriptions even if tis only for the general meme options would be hard not to bloat up the poll's length/how long people would have to read especially when its already a long poll

People want to know what theyre voting for. The poll takes a long time to go through and for someone to take all that time then find out what they voted for wasnt actually what they thought would piss them the fuck off. That doesn't help against tribalism that's just depriving people of info. Because we wouldnt just force every player to be a nonvtuber model for the sake of no tribalism because then nobody is happy. Plus the names next to the player option makes the poll easier to navigate.

Different teams have different philosophies when it comes to whether 2 or 1 keepers. To me when it comes to keepers purple and blue keepers can still outperform good condition keepers plenty and having only 1 keeper means they play every game so it's basically like a pseudo medal spot when it comes to importance.

We're going to make sure theres a full roster poll like normal before every cup now after the feedback last thread. This is the exception. I think I should try to fine a way to limit how long the polls take but I also dont feel great taking options out of the poll.
Either way if anyone else has any questions I'll answer them if not the poll closes tomorrow at 12pm est. Ill prob make a thread an hour or two before then to announce the results when it's over
