HQ got 2 redesigns in less than a year only for the two of them to graduate weeks after the fact. It's very, very hard, not to think they weren't getting new outfits too but got delayed until they have Shiny Spicy 3D.

Nta but the Altare got his expression toggles before the TSB Custom he just didn’t do a showcase of them. I keep thinking he used them a couple of streams before the event but used one during it. Expressions toggles aren’t the same as a new outfit but at this point I think it’s on Altare and Axel why they haven’t gotten theirs yet. Or maybe they’ve been done since December and they are just waiting on a time to showcase them.

When VG has gotten all the same merch that HQ got, and were part of both 6 month and 1st year of Tempus events and got an animation for their debut even when it was shit. Only difference is that HQ debuted 6 months earlier, got rushed out the door with unfinished models and had to deal with all of the bullshit of management being unsure how the new branch works and hololive fans being hostile because "homos are gonna fuck our girls".

It's designed to be very approachable to new players. There's an in-game glossary and they do a bit of (awkward) exposition at the start of the game to recap how the main gang first met. I don't think you need to know much more than that.

From what's revealed about the story each character will have basically a whole flashback set of mini stories how they met the main character and joined the crew. First two years or so of GBF story is pretty ass anyway so they'll include the good cuts of meat and probably leave out the stuff you don't want anyway.
