Anyone else here fall into a malaise regarding vtubers? My oshi doesn't inspire me anymore and I feel like she's constantly phoning it in because her fanbase will slobber over her regardless, I barely feel like watch chuubas, and I hate the community.

i will never understand why people force themselves to keep doing shit they don't enjoy anymore. even if you have a lingering attachment to the hobby because of the time you put into it or how invested you once were, it shouldn't matter. you had good times while it lasted, leave those in the past and find something else that you like more. it's not a difficult concept.

Let's be honest: we went to Vtubers because our life was going no where. but now there is a push to active;y control how we live and how we act and think. if you are like me, avoiding being turned into a sheep-in-a-box requires activity on your part, so you have gotten some plans together and started working harder on various parts of your life.
It's hard to spend HOURS of time a day watching streamers when you have to use your free time like second work time just to keep your ass from becoming forever-renter tax cattle.

yeah Gura and Ame was fun to watch but recently I feel like HoloEN fell. I'm no longer keeping up with their streams and happenings but do still save fanarts I find on twt.

I'm now watching NijiEN for a bit. I guess that's for the best? unless any HoloEN plays another game that interests me, god forbid they abandon another amazing series like Ina not continuing A Hat in Time or Wonderful 101. but that might just be me.
