It's not sudden really, I've been noticing for a while that her subcount has been going up at an insane rate, to the extent that she's on the precipice of catching up with Moona. I think it's a combination of Ollie's intense charisma but also what you said in a sense, she is aggressively collabing with actual famous people, not just famous VTubers, and that rightfully brings her more exposure.

It just goes to show you that nobody wants any of this "idol" "purity" bullshit that this board likes to push so hard. That's wannabe Japan shit and I'm tired of this board's condescending elitism. She's got the SEA zoomers on lockdown. A lot of what makes her "annoying" to oji-sans is precisely what teenagers, especially in the second world, love. Think of webtoon readers and Kpop stans, both of which she has admitted to enjoying.
